T.A.L.E.S. - FORT EDMONTON PARK ANNUAL STORYTELLING FESTIVAL
"SHAKING THE STORY TREE"
Sunday/Monday September 2nd-3rd, 2012 (Labour Day Weekend)
Trees offer roots, trunks, branches, stems and leaves... a world of nutrients bound up in one beautiful bundle! So it is in the world of story as well. This year's TALES storytelling festival offers many different story sets-- each one centered on its own theme--- like leaves floating through the air and landing on welcome ears! There will be some sets that are focused on trees and forests tales. Some sets will be based in cultural roots. Others will be based in history. Some will be original pieces based on personal observations and experiences. Some may be literary stories. Shaking this story tree will provide a broad variety of entertainment for all ages.
This year's Festival includes:
* storytellers from across western Canada
*4 stages (one for children)
*morning workshops
*afternoon storytelling 1-5 pm both days
*Monday 4pm -Open Story Swap
*Sunday evening Festival Concert
